Mechanism of Action
Diflucortolone pivalate is a highly potent topical glucocorticoid ester that diffuses efficiently through skin. Upon enzymatic activation, it binds GR receptors and suppresses inflammatory gene transcription, reducing cytokines, edema, erythema and pruritus.
