Mechanism of Action
Dehydrocholic acid is a synthetic tertiary bile acid formed by oxidation of cholic acid. It stimulates bile flow, facilitates biliary secretion of toxins, enhances fat emulsification and modulates FXR‑ and TGR5‑mediated signalling related to bile‑acid homeostasis.
