Mechanism of Action
Clomifene citrate is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that blocks estrogen feedback at the hypothalamus and pituitary, increasing GnRH secretion and stimulating LH/FSH release. This elevates follicular development and endogenous testosterone/estrogen production depending on the sex of the model organism.
