Mechanism of action
Cafenstrole is a herbicidal agent that inhibits very-long-chain fatty acid (VLCFA) synthesis in plants by blocking acyl-CoA elongase. This interferes with membrane lipid assembly, cell-wall formation and normal germination processes.
