Mechanism of action
Bornaprine is an anticholinergic agent structurally related to tropane alkaloids. It acts as a potent muscarinic receptor antagonist, reducing parasympathetic signalling in the CNS and periphery. This helps rebalance dopaminergiccholinergic circuits in movement disorders and reduces smoothmuscle spasm.
