Product Description

Mechanism of action

Betahistine dimesilate is a salt form providing enhanced stability and solubility while maintaining the pharmacodynamic profile of betahistine. It acts as an H₁ agonist and H₃ antagonist to modulate vestibular neurotransmission and improve inner-ear blood flow.

Benefits and advantages

Used in salt-form comparison studies, vestibular-function modelling, neurotransmitter-release modulation experiments and histamine- receptor research. The improved solubility profile aids formulation and kinetic investigations.

Side effects and risks

May cause mild GI disturbances, flushing and headache. Laboratory handling requires standard CNS-active compound precautions.
