ACEBUTOLOL
Acebutolol is a cardioselective betablocker with intrinsic sympathomimetic activity, used to treat hypertension and cardiac arrhythmias. It reduces heart rate and myocardial oxygen demand, promoting cardiovascular stability. Benefits include effective blood pressure reduction and lower bronchoconstriction risk than non-selective betablockers. Potential side effects include fatigue, dizziness, and mild gastrointestinal disturbances. Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.

Product Description
Mechanism of action
Acebubolol is a cardioselective beta1 adrenergic receptor blocker with partial agonist (intrinsic sympathomimetic) activity. By antagonising beta1 receptors in the heart, it reduces heart rate, myocardial contractility and cardiac output, leading to lowered blood pressure and decreased myocardial oxygen demand.
Benefits and advantages
Acebubolol is employed in the management of hypertension and certain cardiac arrhythmias when formulated as an oral betablocker. Its relative beta1 selectivity offers advantages in patients where bronchospasm is a concern, and intrinsic sympathomimetic activity may reduce resting bradycardia and negative inotropic effects in some clinical contexts.
Side effects and risks
Adverse effects typical for betablockers include bradycardia, fatigue, dizziness and cold extremities. In susceptible individuals, especially at higher doses, bronchospasm, worsening heart failure or conduction disturbances may occur. Abrupt withdrawal can precipitate rebound hypertension or angina. Handling of the API should follow appropriate occupational safety standards to minimise exposure.
