Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Gefarnate promotes gastric mucosal protection through stimulation of prostaglandin synthesis, enhancement of mucus secretion and improved epithelial regeneration. It stabilizes mucosal membranes and reduces acid-induced injury.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in gastroprotective research, epithelial-healing assays, anti-ulcer studies and membrane-stability modelling.

Side Effects and Risks

Generally mild: GI disturbances or hypersensitivity. Handle with standard precautions for mucosal-active agents.
