Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Flomoxef is an oxacephem β‑lactam antibiotic that binds penicillin‑binding proteins (PBPs), inhibiting transpeptidation of bacterial peptidoglycan. Its oxacephem core confers strong β‑lactamase stability and broad Gram‑positive/Gram‑negative activity.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in PBP‑profiling studies, β‑lactamase resistance modelling, and cell‑wall synthesis inhibition assays.

Side Effects and Risks

Potential GI upset, hypersensitivity, hepatic enzyme elevations and rare hematologic effects.
