Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Etamiphylline is a xanthine bronchodilator closely related to theophylline but with modified potency and reduced CNS stimulation. It increases intracellular cAMP through phosphodiesterase inhibition, relaxing bronchial smooth muscle and improving airflow.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in PDE‑inhibition studies, bronchodilator SAR research, airway‑reactivity modelling, and asthma/COPD mechanistic assays.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include tachycardia, nausea, tremor, restlessness and rare arrhythmias. Handle with xanthine‑bronchodilator precautions.
