Mechanism of Action
Eribulin mesilate is a synthetic analogue of halichondrin B that binds to the plus ends of microtubules, inhibiting polymerization without affecting depolymerization. This causes irreversible mitotic blockade in G2–M, followed by apoptotic cell death. It also remodels tumor vasculature and may reverse epithelial–mesenchymal transition.

Side Effects and Risks
Risks include neutropenia, peripheral neuropathy, alopecia, QT prolongation and myelosuppression. Handle with cytotoxic antimicrotubule‑agent precautions.
