Product Description
Mechanism of Action
Calcium disodium EDTA is a chelating compound designed to preferentially bind heavy metals (lead, cadmium) without inducing hypocalcemia. The preloaded calcium ion reduces the risk of binding endogenous Ca²⁺ while still allowing exchange with toxic metals. It forms highly stable complexes excreted renally.
Benefits and Advantages
Used in heavymetal detoxification modelling, chelationefficiency assays, toxicology research, and metalion exchange studies.
Side Effects and Risks
Risks include nephrotoxicity, local pain (in injections), GI upset and rare mineralimbalance disturbances. Handle with chelationtherapy precautions.
Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
