Mechanism of Action
Deracoxib is a selective COX2 inhibitor belonging to the coxib class. It blocks prostaglandin synthesis by inhibiting the COX2 enzyme, providing antiinflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects with reduced gastrointestinal irritation compared to nonselective NSAIDs. It has minimal COX1 interaction at therapeutic concentrations.

Side Effects and Risks
