Product Description
Mechanism of Action
Colchicoside is a semisynthetic derivative of colchicine with potent musclerelaxant and antiinflammatory properties. Unlike colchicine, it acts primarily through modulation of GABAergic and glycinergic neurotransmission rather than strong tubulin inhibition. It reduces muscle hyperexcitability, spasms and inflammatory signalling.

Used in neuromuscularjunction studies, musclespasm modelling, GABA/glycinereceptor pathway research, antiinflammatory assays and musculoskeletal pharmacology investigations.
Side Effects and Risks
Risks include sedation, hepatotoxicity, hypotension, GI upset and neuromuscular weakness. Handle with CNSactive musclerelaxant precautions.
