Mechanism of Action

Cloperastine is a centrally acting antitussive with antihistaminic and anticholinergic properties. It modulates the cough reflex by reducing medullary excitability and stabilizing sensory nerve fibres. It also exhibits mild calcium‑channel blocking activity.
