Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Ciprostene acetate is a synthetic prostaglandin analogue that activates prostaglandin (EP) receptors, producing vasodilation, smooth-muscle modulation and cytoprotective effects. It influences cAMP-dependent signalling and regulates tissue perfusion and anti-inflammatory pathways.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in prostaglandin-receptor research, vascular-biology studies, smooth-muscle modulation assays, anti-inflammatory modelling and prostanoid analogue SAR investigations.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include flushing, headache, hypotension, GI discomfort and uterine contractions. Handle with prostaglandin-class precautions.
