Mechanism of action
Camylofin is an antispasmodic agent with dual mechanisms: (1) direct smooth-muscle relaxation via phosphodiesterase inhibition and elevation of intracellular cAMP, and (2) anticholinergic blockade of muscarinic receptors, reducing parasympathetic tone. This combination provides potent GI and biliary-tract spasmolysis.

Used in gastrointestinal-motility research, biliary-colic modelling, antispasmodic SAR studies, PDE-inhibition assays and smooth-muscle contraction experiments.
Side effects and risks
