Product Description

Mechanism of action

Buflomedil is a vasoactive peripheral vasodilator that improves microcirculation by blocking α₁-adrenergic receptors and inhibiting phosphodiesterase activity, leading to increased intracellular cAMP and relaxation of vascular smooth muscle. It also enhances red blood cell deformability and reduces platelet aggregation, improving tissue perfusion especially in ischemic environments.

Benefits and advantages

Used in microcirculation research, peripheral arterial disease models, endothelial-function studies, hemorheology investigations, vasodilator SAR profiling and platelet–vascular interaction research. It is also valuable for studying impaired oxygen delivery in peripheral vascular disorders.

Side effects and risks

Risks include neurotoxicity at high doses, seizures, hypotension, cardiac arrhythmias and GI disturbance. Handle with caution under cardiovascular-active compound safety protocols.
