Mechanism of action
Bromazinum is an antihistaminic and sedative agent structurally related to classical Hantihistamines. It blocks Hreceptors, reducing histaminemediated vasodilation, vascular permeability and sensorynerve activation. It also has central sedative properties attributed to mild anticholinergic and sodiumchannelmodulating effects.

Used in allergymechanism studies, histaminereceptor pharmacology, pruritus models, antihistamine SAR analysis, and research involving sedativeanticholinergic interactions. Helpful for mapping peripheral vs central Hreceptor actions.
Side effects and risks
Risks include sedation, anticholinergic effects (dry mouth, blurred vision), dizziness, GI upset and rare hypersensitivity. Handle under CNSactivecompound precautions.
