Bornaprine is an anticholinergic agent structurally related to tropane alkaloids. It acts as a potent muscarinic receptor antagonist, reducing parasympathetic signalling in the CNS and periphery. This helps rebalance dopaminergic–cholinergic circuits in movement disorders and reduces smooth‑muscle spasm.
