Product Description
Mechanism of action
Azlocillin is an extendedspectrum ureidopenicillin that binds to penicillinbinding proteins (PBPs), inhibiting crosslinking of peptidoglycan and disrupting bacterial cellwall synthesis. It exhibits strong activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and many Gramnegative bacilli.
Benefits and advantages
Used in betalactamase research, bacterial membranepermeability studies, efflux pump investigations and antipseudomonal drugdevelopment platforms. Helps model PBPbinding kinetics and resistance pathways.
Side effects and risks
Potential allergic reactions, GI upset and rare hepatic disturbances. Laboratory use must follow antimicrobial containment protocols.
Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
